Hello! I’m Wen, an interdisciplinary artist, writer, editor, and listener. I was born in Dalian, China, a small coastal town, and now live in Providence, Rhode Island, a smaller coastal town, where I’m studying towards a MA in American Studies with a focus on photography and visual culture at Brown University.

I’m interested in the idea of the “stranger” within archival photographic albums as well as the romance of an “accident” image. I frequently work with images, text, cultural artifacts, and everyday relics.

Additionally, I like to spend my time organizing community events, or working on publications of variant forms (AAWW, A Public Space, The Indy, volume-1, NowHereThis). Currently, I’m helping with editorial research at Triple Canopy.
